This wine is warm and inviting. Like amber, or hippy with flowers in her hair. The texture is awesome and more round than many summer Rosés. I get loads of oranges on the nose, a big navel orange in fact, along with persimmon, quince and a little saline on the finish.

These St. Laurent grapes were sent direct to press to achieve light extraction of color.  The wine was fermented cool to enhance aromatics and stirred on lees to enhance mouthfeel.

2019 March Rose of St. Laurent “Ricci Vineyard”

$25.00

This vineyard is in the Carneros region of Sonoma County. They family farms over 220 acres of vineyard, but only a tiny amount of it is St. Laurent. When Maura and Charley started March Wines, they felt like just going into a potential account to sell wine and only having one bottle seemed weird so they made some Rosé to offset their awkward feelings. Maura hated it. She hated selling it. She hated showing it. She really hated it. When they finally landed the Ricci Vineyard through their friend Tyler (read more on that in the St. Laurent description) they decided to try a Rosé of St. Laurent. Impressed with the texture and surprised at the flavor, they have kept it going for a few years. Maura is now happy to both sell and drink her Rosé.
