YUM. Super tropical notes on the nose that are more on the floral and guava side of things. This wine wants to be your best friend, and wants to spend all their time with you. And you want that too, because this wine makes you want to smile and dance a little. Seriously this wine makes me so dang happy.

There is a touch of Sauvignon Musque in this vineyard which means that there is also a great mouthfeel to this wine. It feels full but not at all weighty.

This wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in neutral french. Only 160 cases produced.

2019 Sauvignon Blanc, Mariah Vineyard

$22.00

The Mariah Vineyard is located in the Mendocino Ridge AVA, notable in that it is the only non-contiguous AVA in California. It is defined specifically by elevation – 1,200 feet or more above sea level, and within 10 miles of the Pacific Ocean. The fruit grown in this AVA is above the fog line lending it the nickname, “Islands in the sky.”

Mariah vineyard is dry farmed, the vines are 23 years old and what is even more notable is that the Sauvignon Blanc is Entav clone 376, which generally has
a very tropical flavor profile, and is quite rare in California. Only 2% of California Sauvignon Blanc is from clones other than Clone 01.

Sandy has worked with Sauvignon Blanc from all over California, and waited years to get his hands on fruit from the Moriah Vineyard. It was worth the wait.

We're on a break!

Don’t worry. We are coming back better than ever in 2024!

You can still shop for wine any time, and we will still offer lots of content, connection, and virtual tastings with winemakers.
