Citrus of all kinds here – lemon, mandarin, kumquat, you name it. A great layer of saline that you know I love. The mouth has both great acid plus the roundness and touch of nuttiness that Vermentino can often carry. So refreshing and hyper-quaffable. 

Whole cluster pressed to stainless steel tank to begin primary fermentation. The wine was transferred mid way through fermentation to neutral french oak puncheon (500L). Partial malolactic fermentation, aged 8 months in barrel prior to bottling.

2019 Ser Vermentino


This Vermentino is from Cedar Lane Vineyard in Arroyo Seco.

Randall and Nicole sourced this fruit for some years through Bonny Doon. It neighbors the Beeswax vineyard, where they sourced the fruit for Cigare Blanc. Together they grafted over Roussanne vines to Vermentino. Over the years, Nicole has worked with Vermentino from several vineyards, and she always fins the Cedar Lane Vineyard to show the finest fruit.
