Absolutely stunning in color, a true high toned ruby. This wine is as close to perfect as it gets. It is balanced and interesting with layered textures and notes of red licorice, pink peppercorn, red cherry and Douglas fir. There is strawberry, plum, red tea and rhubarb all balanced with with a kiss of oak and a perfect spice level.

This wine was fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels for 16 months, 30% new. Unfltered and unfined (vegan).

2020 Lussier Golden Fleece Pinot Noir

$56.00

Justin Miller and his wife Karin own Garden Creek Winery in Geyserville. They established the Golden Fleece vineyard in Philo at 900 feet in elevation. It’s shaped like a bowl and it has these fingers coming out, and that’s where they planted Pinot Noir, 115 clone, 667 clone, and Calera  clone. They were looking for growers. He was reaching out to some big time winemakers and they just didn’t want to take a chance on the vineyard since no one knew what it could do yet. I went and met with him, and it was an absolutely incredible sight. Not only was it an incredible sight, the way that he farms is absolutely incredible. His goal is actually to be carbon neutral, zero carbon emissions.

We were able to harvest before the fires crept up in 2020, and so it made it an absolutely incredible wine.”

Well hello there.
