Again, that balance of California ripe and old world earth has me super pumped! On the nose there is blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry mingled with tobacco and a hint of tapenade. There are some hefty tannins that give some nice weight and structure to this wine without making it a monster.
This wine was destemmed and aged in the skins for 16 days enjoying native fermentation. It was aged for 10 months in barrels, 16% new French oak. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered, so vegan. 138 cases produced.
