Oh this wine is just so lovely. Such an energetic wine with lovely texture. There is a broad mouth feel with notes of lemon, lime and honey crisp apple and Bartlett pear. So bright and summertimey.

This wine was made in the Ancestral method, fermented with champagne yeasts and aged on the lees for 8 months before disgorgement to remove sediment. (bottled unfined, unfiltered, which means vegan) 55 cases produced.

2020 Riddle Sparkling Roussanne

$38.00

The fruit for this wine is sourced from the David Girard Vineyard in El Dorado County. The vineyard is farmed organically and sits at 1,500 feet.

From Jeremy: “I knew I wanted to make a white sparkling in the ancestral method, but I didn’t know what grapes in the vineyard would do well. I sampled all the grapes in the David Girard vineyard until I found the right one, Roussanne. I had never seen a sparkling Roussanne before and what I thought would just be a fun project turned out to be something quite refined and has become one of my favorites.”
