Someone came back from summer with a deep tan! This skin contact wine needs food, don’t leave her alone at a party. Opening with the expected floral bouquet this wine is so much more. Kefir lime, coriander, green peppercorn, yuzu, Cara Cara and fresh holy basil are all wafting from this glass. The mouth is salty with quince and starfruit, coconut water, apricot, and clementines. This wine is definitely made for eating and it had us dreaming of burrata and tomatoes, roast chicken, or plates of prosciutto and melon- bring on summer of civilized bbq! This wine will take your hand and lead you there.

This wine was fermented naturally on skins in stainless steel tanks. It was barrel-aged on full lees for 8 months following fermentation. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and unsulfured. Vegan.

2021 Erggelet Brothers Skin Fermented Malvasia Bianca

“There are wines I have had from Itlay that are Malvasia wines with skin contact that age very interestingly. In say, 10-15 years, they have this really silky tannin structure that’s almost sweet tasting and very flavorful. Those often have a little bit of VA as part of that style- very interesting super, super floral spicy undertones,

VA is a very tricky balance. A little bit gives you this umami, sweet and sour kind of lift. There are a couple of winemakers that consistently have a little bit of VA in their whites and they’re not skin fermented whites. I love them. That is really something to aim for.”

Well hello there.
