Produced from 61 year old dry farmed head trained Riesling vines out at the Wirz Vineyard, this Riesling is absolutely blockbuster. This bottling would please the most discerning palate, and I wish I could take it to Germany and go, “LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO!” This next level wine shows lime zest, Meyer lemon pith, and tart Granny Smith apple on the nose with the perfect touch of old world petrol. The palate is a perfection of umami and texture. Next f*cking level wine.

This wine was whole cluster pressed and aged in stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels. It was sterile filtered for clarity. Vegan.

2021 Found Riesling

$30.00

The Wirz Vineyard sits on the northeastern side of the Gabilan Mountains in eroded granite and limestone soils. These old, head-trained vines are dry farmed with organic practices and date back to 1962 and might be the oldest Riesling in the state. Farmed by Pat Wirz, this vineyard is old and wild and feels dusty and unconfined. We have featured several wines off this vineyard, including two other Rieslings by Kobza and Ser, and each of them are so true to place. This one is no exception. This vineyard makes magic.

We're on a break!

Don’t worry. We are coming back better than ever in 2024!
