Delightfully refreshing. This wine has all the melon notes- cantelope, honeydew, watermelon, and so forth. There is light nectarine a broad mouth feel. I love the texture because it is neither racy or flabby but but this great harmonious balance between them that makes me keep going back.

These grapes went direct to a wooden hand press and was aged 6 months in stainless steel. Unfined and unfiltered (vegan).

43 cases produced.

“Grown at 1450’ elevation on red, obsidian-strewn volcanic soil resulting from Mt. Konocti’s violent upheaval in the Mayacamas runout.”

A vin gris style wine which means these berries were sent direct to press with no time for skin contact. The result is a wine that is lighter than a traditional rosé that would have some skin contact. The result is refreshing and mild and made to be enjoyed early and often.Read more about Pietro Buttitta…
