Anderson Valley Pinot at it’s finest. There is something about Anderson Valley Pinot that allows it to show the perfect balance of new world juicy with old world earthy. This wine is exactly that. It is elegant and floral with ripe red and black fruit, rose petal and shiitake. It has a lush and clean palate with a nice kiss of spice. I would bet this wine can age a while as well.

This wine was fermented natively on the skins after gentle destemming. It was on the skins for 16 days and then racked into French oak, 16% new. It was aged for ten months and bottled unfined and unfiltered, so vegan. 140 cases produced.

“This vineyard, we can’t say the name of it, but it is highly regarded. It is 15 miles from the coast in Anderson Valley in Mendocino. It’s got the Navarro river on the outside of it. It’s got these really interesting soils. It’s called Pinole loam soil series. It is very well drained. There’s some clay in it, and it’s got some alluvial granite mixture going on there too, that I think in this Pinot shows as an expression of rose petal, and mushroom and earth that I don’t get all the time in California Pinot Noirs, and is exactly what we were looking for.”

Well hello there.
